It was a big day for Apple at their Toronto Centre location in the Eaton Centre. At 9 am the wait to get into the store was estimated to be 5 hours.
The line was actually slightly ridiculous. Yet, there everyone was waiting to get their hands on an iPhone 6 the day of launch. It is a touch exciting when you get that many people together waiting for one thing.
It Takes Apple to Draw those kind Lines
Only seems to be able to pull something like this off. The line moved briskly yet people in great numbers just continued to join it making for a bit of a sight seeing tour of the Eaton Centre.
When Alternatives Make Sense
For this author, there was little chance he was going to stand in a line for 5 hours. I quickly visited the Fido store when I picked up one iPhone 6 as a gift and then the Rogers store to get myself one.
Now, with phones in hand there was two things I need; a case and screen protectors. It was at this moment I enter a non-chaotic Apple store for if you weren’t buying the phone specifically you could enter at will.
At least, even though I didn’t buy my phones that the Apple store, I did buy iPhones but just were there was no line.
